Another remarkable weekend for HFA fencers as they competed at the Daugherty Challenge ROC/RJCC/RYC-ST.Louis,MO. Our fencers returned with an impressive total of 7 medals, including two gold, earning valuable regional points and enhancing their ratings.
We extend our warmest congratulations to the following outstanding fencers:
Phillip Nunnink: Secured Gold in Juniors Men’s Foil and added a Bronze in Division 1A Men’s Foil to his achievements.
Hailey Cashman: Demonstrated exceptional skill with a Gold in Y10 Women’s Foil, Silver in Y12 Women’s Foil, and a Bronze in Cadet Women’s Foil. Notably, Hailey had a phenomenal tournament, receiving only 4 touches in the Y10 event, conquering challenging close bouts in the Y12 and Cadet categories, and earning an "E" 2023 national rating.
Harrison McMillian: Earned a well-deserved Bronze in Y12 Men’s Foil.
Levi Fergusson: Showed determination with a 7th place finish in Y12 Men’s Foil and one point away from top 4.
Our other fencers, Tristan, Isaak, and Jay, also displayed their talent and gained valuable competitive experience.
These achievements underscore the dedication and skill of our fencers and mark another successful outing for the Heartland Fencing Academy.
